MALEC, ANDREW FRANK December 26, 2022 Andrew Frank Malec was born on October 4, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan to Andrew and Mary Malec. Frank grew up in Detroit and went to St. Casimir High School, once he graduated he was drafted by the United States Army. During a trip home for Thanksgiving from the Army, he met the love of his life, Gloria. That one Thanksgiving led to 62 wonderful years of marriage. Together, Frank and Gloria would have 4 children, Andrew, Andrea (Annie), and 2 Angels in Heaven - Kathleen and Andrew. He was a very hard worker for 47 years in a machine shop in Detroit to provide for his family. Frank was known as a jack of all trade’s handyman around the house, being able to fix anything that needed it. He loved polka music and really enjoyed his trips to the casino with Gloria. He was always smiling and led a carefree life. He will be greatly missed. Beloved husband of Gloria for 62 years. Dearest father of Andrew (Marie) Malec, Annie (Dave) Murphy, the late Kathleen, and the late Andrew. Cherished Papa of Aidan. Frank is predeceased by his 6 sisters. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Memorial Visitation Friday, December 30th, from 2-8 pm at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 W. Warren, Dearborn Heights. Military Honors Friday at 4:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Frank's Life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Frank’s name to any Rescue Dog Shelter.
