Anthony F. Capraro

Anthony F . Capraro 92, Cheboygan Anthony F . Capraro, 92 of Cheboygan, passed away on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. He was born on Sept. 23, 1918 in Dearborn, Mich. Anthony served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman during WWII, while stationed in India. After returning home from war, he joined the Dearborn Police Department, where he served in the Mounted Division for 30 years. After retiring from the police department, he took a job with Ford Motor Company until retiring to Cheboygan in 1985. He is survived by his four daughters, Sherry Lynn Willis of Commerce, Mich, Josephine Benz of South Lyon, Mich., Elizabeth Archambo of Cheboygan and Angela Gensler of Traverse City; two sisters, Mary Capraro and Antoinette Carman of Dearborn. He will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Dearborn Heights on Friday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m.
