Beverly Jean Moeller

October 27, 1932 — February 14, 2025

Beverly Jean Moeller (Baker). Born October 27, 1932 in Detroit to her parents John and Ida Baker.  Beverly attended Chadsey High School and graduated early at the strong encouragement of her mother. She played the violin and soon went to work in banking.

Bev married Robert Charles Moeller in 1953. They had four children and settled in Dearborn Heights Michigan, where Bob became a police officer and Bev a stay-at-home mom. Bev paved a path for herself after their divorce in 1979.

Bev found solace in church life, which helped her build a life of employment, travel and volunteer work. Bev was a member and officer of the Dearborn Heights Garden Club. Her passion was the outdoors; she loved all aspects of gardening and puttering around in her yard.   She was an award-winning floral arranger, an avid Depression Glass collector, golfer, and world traveler.  Bev was a member of Questers and she volunteered at the Henry Ford Estate and the Dearborn Historical Museum. One highlight of her volunteer work was when her youngest grandchild attended a field trip at a place she was volunteering that day. Bev loved to dance and always knew where to find the next dances being held.

Bev later attended and became a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church where she found another community of Christian support that was uplifting. Unfortunately, diagnosed with dementia, Beverly spent the last two years of her life in memory care for her safety, still a spitfire and smiling.

Beverly is survived by her sister Besty Joyce Smith, her four children Cheryl (Dennis) Furlong, Gary (Sherrie) Moeller, Lori (Gerry) Mullen and Sandy (Todd) Goyer, her grandchildren Bridget, Nathan, Brenda, Kim, Molly, Kelly, Caitlin and Lauren and their spouses and children, along with several nieces and nephews.  Beverly was preceded in death by her parents John and Ida (nee Dettmer) Baker, her sister Belva Julie Houle and her granddaughter Maggie.  She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
