Burl Guy Hays

Burl Guy Hays, 79, of Monroe, Michigan, passed away on March 19, 2026, at home surrounded by family after a battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.

Burl was born on September 22, 1946, in Charleston, West Virginia to Wanda and Guy Hays. He is survived by his wife, Tina Hays, daughter, Lisa (Robert) Novak, son Stuart (Maria) Hays, stepson Matthew (Marti) Varga, stepson Daniel (Melissa) Varga, sister Retta J Hays, sister Diane M Whitaker, and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dearl D Hays.

The family will hold a private service to honor Burl’s life.
