Carol Holly Slawnikowski, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on December 21, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of the late Chester and Lillian (née Mojak) Calka.

Carol was the devoted wife of the late Frank Slawnikowski and a loving sister to Chester Calka Jr., Christopher (Diane) Calka, Kathleen Calka, and Jan (Donna) Calka. She also leaves behind her adored nieces and nephew.

Carol had a kind and giving heart, always ready to lend a helping hand and brighten the lives of those around her. She deeply cherished her Polish heritage and kept family traditions alive, especially during the holidays. Christmas and Easter were filled with the warmth of her love, the aroma of homemade pierogi and kielbasa, and the joy of sharing treasured customs with family and friends. Her dedication to these traditions brought everyone closer, creating memories that will be forever cherished.

Her warmth, generosity, and compassionate spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Memorial Visitation Saturday, April 5th, at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish (Our Lady Queen of Angels Site), 4200 Martin St, Detroit, until time of Memorial Mass at 10:00 am.
