Casimira “Cassie” Janina Wysocki, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, February 22, 2024 with family by her side. Cassie was born in Detroit on May 9, 1932 to John and Agatha (Zychowicz) Suchorab. She grew up on Chopin St. and attended St. Andrews Catholic School through high school. On May 22, 1954, Cassie married the love of her life, a budding musician, Arthur Wysocki. They moved to Colonial St. in Dearborn Heights where they lived for their 69 years of marriage. As a young mother, Cassie worked for a few years at the Dearborn Gear Co. and for U.S. Steel, before deciding to be a stay-at-home mom. She always enjoyed Menka’s breakfasts with her sister Mickey and her close-knit group of girlfriends. An avid cook and all-around party girl, she loved to entertain. She had a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh and always had a funny story to tell. Cassie enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren, often times taking the whole family on vacation. She had a big heart and a strong faith, praying daily to her Guardian Angel, St. Gertrude. Cassie was preceded in death by her parents, John & Agatha Suchorab and her sister Michaline (the late Frederick) Maude. Cassie is survived by her husband Arthur (Art Wyse); her children: Sharon (Jerry Macy), Dan (Mary), her grandchildren: Jacob, Alyssa, and Grace, and numerous nieces and nephews. Casimira will lie In-State at St Sabina Catholic Church, Saturday, March 2nd at 10:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am. Family suggests memorial donations to St Sabina Church or St. Benedict Monastery in Oxford, MI.
