David James Veverica

David James Veverica, 67, of Detroit, Michigan passed away Friday, December 10th at his home. Dave was born on November 15th, 1954 to Edward Veverica and Bessie (Holek) Veverica in Detroit, Michigan. Dave was a graduate of St. Andrew High School and was self-employed for decades in the business he created and sustained, David Home Improvement. Dave was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who loved being in nature and engaging in sports and recreation. His favorite pastimes included snowmobiling, boating, and sharing laughs with friends and family. He loved his children and adored his grandchildren, who he always made laugh with games and Grandpa Dave "horsey" rides. Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (Swierczek), daughter Paula (David) Gentile of Belleville, son Patrick (Laura) Veverica of Greensboro, NC, and grandchildren Alex and Eva Gentile. He is also survived by his brother Dick Veverica of South Lyons, and nephews Dean (Sheri) Veverica and Derrick (JoAnne) Veverica. Visitation for Dave will take place from 2-6:30pm on Thursday December 16th at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home (25509 W. Warren, Dearborn Heights) followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 6:30pm.
