Carnevale, Dorothy A.  February 24, 2017. Formerly of Dearborn.   Beloved wife of the late Salvatore "Sam".  Dearest mother of Diane (Paul) Jones and Steve (Kelly) Carnevale.  Loving grandma of Michelle, Eric, William and Steven.  Family will receive friends Saturday 10:00 am- 11:30 am at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 West Warren, Dearborn Heights.  Funeral Saturday 11:30 am at the funeral home.Dorothy aka ‘Aunt Dot,’ ‘Anne,’ ‘Annie,’ lived for her family.  She was feisty.  She was an inspiration, not only to her family, but to strangers she met while running errands – an amazing sight to witness.  She loved to have fun.  The family gave her a surprise 90th“Party Animal” birthday party with our extended family for an entire week!  Her greatest joy was seeing her 4 grandchildren annually at Christmas, where she would play cards until 1:00 or even 1:30am – at her request.  No bedtime at 9pm for this grandma!  We will miss you here on earth, Mom, but know that you are rejoicing in Heaven and are no longer suffering.  A special thank you to Angela Smith and Wendy McKone, her Florida kids, who cared for her over the years -- our mother's angels on earth. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to The Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation, with deep gratitude for the excellent and compassionate care that Dorothy received over the last 5 months.
