Dorothy Stephens

Dorothy Stephens grew up the daughter of Martin and Madeline Fitrzyk on Springwells St. in Detroit, Michigan. Dorothy had 3 brothers and 5 sisters including Martin, Louis, Joe, Emily, Stella, Betty, Pat and Mary Ann. She attended Southwestern High School and worked as a Nurse's Asst. for 25+ years to Drs. Hunter/Knauff in Troy, MI. Dorothy and Bob Stephens were married in 1957 at St. Lawrence Church and enjoyed 56 years of holding hands through life together. Dorothy attended St. Robert Bellarmine for weekly prayers and time for Faith with God. Dorothy loved Christmas time, Songs by Elvis, and Family vacations to Mackinaw/Saugatuck each summer. Most of all Dorothy LOVED children. She was an EXTRA SPECIAL aunt to Lucky Nieces and Nephews including Lou(Tina, Brian, Carrie, Nicole), Gary(Lisa, Carmen, Austin, Brayden), Ann-Marie(Dave, Luke, Rachel), Kim(George, Karlie, Kody) Ken(Dawn, Christopher, Shawn) Joe. Dorothy will be dearly missed as she was our Angel of Light giving Love and Laughter to everyone. Visitation will be Monday from 1-8 pm with Prayer Service at 7 pm at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 W. Warren, Dearborn Heights. Instate Tuesday 10:30 am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church until time of Mass at 11 am.
