Edwin "Ed" M. Burke

BURKE Edwin “Ed” Martin: Ed entered the Lord’s Kingdom peacefully on October 28, 2016 with his family by his side.   He bravely served during World War II on multiple combat missions in the Army Air Force based in the European Theater.  His career was working in sales for over 40 years at Sears.   He lovingly leaves behind his wife Inez of 62 years and his children Mike (Suzanne), Pat (Mary Anne), Paul (Susan), Tom (Pamela), Gerry (Janet), Tim (Kimberly) and Mary Beth. He was also the proud Grandpa to 15 grandchildren: Kerri (Danny), Ryan (Jennifer), Amelia (Michael), Lauren (Mario), David, Meghan, Audrey, Jennifer, Leslie, Jaclyn, Morgan, Brendan, Jack, Riley and Bennett.   Ed is leaving a lifelong legacy of faith in the Lord and his outward values of family!  He has been an inspiration as a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He has touched many lives and will truly be missed.  His loving care and devotion for Inez has been a shining example for us all.   “Our family is a circle of strength and love founded on faith joined in love, kept by God, together forever”.   A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at the Church of the Divine Child in Dearborn, Michigan on Monday, November 7, 2016.
