Elberta Tuchelske

TUCHELSKE, Elberta (Sadie), nee Lekity, 73, was born in Wyandotte, Michigan. She passed away suddenly Monday, September 9, 2013. She is survived by her loving children Eric Tuchelske of Dearborn Heights and Patricia (Andy) Greening of Walled Lake. Also surviving is her twin brother Elbert (Diane) Lekity of Brownstown Township and her cherished, pampered pet, Bindy. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Helen Lekity and brother Lawrence. A 1958 graduate of Wyandotte Roosevelt High, she was employed by Wyandotte Savings Bank for several years. As a very caring, outgoing person, she formed many relationships, some dating back to elementary school and lasting until her death. After retirement, Elberta continued befriending others, serving as an in-home caregiver to several elderly persons. Per her request, her body has been donated to the University of Michigan. A memorial celebration of her life will take place in the near future. Donations in her memory may be made to Gift of Life Michigan.
