Eleanor M. Small

Eleanor M. Small, born October 9, 1934, passed away on January 11, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late William and a loving mother to Patty (Tim) Callahan. Eleanor was also a cherished "fur grandma" to her beloved pets, Peanut, Mia, and the late Chico. Eleanor was a dear sister to Jerry (Valnda Kennedy) Hnatiw. Adored aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Panikhida Service at 7:00 PM at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, located at 25509 West Warren, Dearborn Heights. The Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. In 1958, Eleanor moved from Manitoba, Canada, to the United States. She worked as a secretary at St. John Ukrainian Church in Detroit and later at AAA, where she helped with Trip Tiks. Eleanor was known for her love of making pierogies with her daughter during the holidays. She was a meticulous cleaner and a casino junky.
