Elizabeth Alent

Elizabeth Julia Mary (Ornowski) born March 10, 1928, in Port Austin, Michigan to the late Stanley and Helen Ornowski, died January 30, 2015 in Dearborn, Michigan. Elizabeth attended Port Austin Public schools and graduated salutatorian of her class. She earned her bachelor's degree of Education at Western Michigan University and a master's degree from the University of Detroit. She was also a member of the Secular Franciscan Order and taught school at various locations throughout the state of Michigan. Elizabeth was a devout Catholic firmly rooted in her faith, teaching Christian healing in her later years. She loved family and was a valued member of the Henry Ford Village Community. Survived by her brother and sister Father Gerald Ornowski, MIC, and Helen (Ornowski) Brecht and her seven children John (Brenda) Alent, Mark (Grace) Alent, Sidney Alent, Lance Alent, Frank (Mimi) Alent, Mary AlGhamdi (Abdullah), Mike Alent and grandchildren Caline, Paladin, Travis, Joshua, Chelsea, Diane, Jeff, Barbara, Brian, Malihah, Noorah, Asa, Sarah, Hannah, Najla and Michael Jr. Elizabeth is survived by great grandchildren Kennadi, Taylore, Sariah, Elly, Brianne, Gabrial, Abdullah, and Roudina. Visitation from 4-8 PM Tuesday with a prayer service at 7 PM at the Stanley Turowski Funeral Home 25509 West Warren, Dearborn Heights 48127. Wednesday Viewing at 9 AM with a Funeral Mass following at 10 AM at the Saint Bonaventure Monastery, 1740 Mount Elliot, Detroit 48207. Grave site service at 12 PM Thursday - February 5th at St. Michael's Cemetery, Port Austin.
