Elizabeth Louise (White)Budry; 69, died Friday September 13, 2019 in Westland Michigan. Beth was born July 24, 1950 in Lawrence, Kansas to James and Helen White. She married Walter Harold Budry August 25, 1974 in Leavenworth, Kansas. The couple then made their home in Garden City, Michigan. Beth is survived by her husband Walt, her daughter Hope (John) Hunt of Shawnee, KS, granddaughter Faith Hunt, grandson Jack Hunt, along with one sister Sandra Jewers of Independence, KS and one brother James White of Weatherby Lake, MO. Beth will be missed by all her family and friends. Beth was a lifelong member of The Salvation Army, and before marrying Walt was an officer. Beth was a follower of God and trusted him to get her through life. Diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes, she did not let that slow her down, remembering her favorite bible verse Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me” when times were tough. Over the years Beth had several Leader Dogs for the Blind and was very active in the organization, attending camps and meeting new friends along the way. Beth learned many crafts and helped teach others at camp that just because you are blind does not mean you can’t have fun and be creative. Visitation will be at The Salvation Army located at 26700 West Warren, Dearborn Heights, MI on Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm. Services will follow. Internment will take place at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak on Wednesday at 10 AM. Memorial donations can be made to JDRF The Salvation Army
