Ernest F. Romanowski

On Sunday, July 28, 2019, Ernest “Ernie” Francis Romanowski passed away at the age of 85. Ernie was born in Detroit, Michigan to Anthony and Josephine (Wojdylak) Romanowski. Ernie was a devoted husband and loved spending time with his family. He worked hard as a specialized machine builder until his retirement 18 years ago.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on cars. He was a fixture in his neighborhood community and was always willing to lend a hand. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan (nee Cichowicz), and his four children Marci (Ted) Paige, Anthony (Bonnie) Romanowski, Juliann (Jeff) Geisinger and Jennifer (Phil) Grover.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Melissa (Travis) Schock, Brandon, Miranda, Matthew and Natalie, and his great-granddaughter Cambrie.  He is preceded in death by his parents and also his siblings Jerome (Jeanne) Romanowski and Josephine (Watson) Furtak. Visitation for Ernie will be Wednesday 2-8 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 West Warren, Dearborn Heights.  Funeral Service Thursday 10:30  am at the funeral home.
