George Ellias Bonemer was born on August 15, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to George and Ernestine Bonemer. George, who was raised in Dearborn, Michigan, and resided most recently in Northville, passed away on September 3, 2026 at the age of 76.

George married Sharon McKenzie in 1974 and raised one son. George was loving father of Barrett (Carrie) Bonemer; dear grandfather of Gabe and Caleb; beloved brother of Matthew Bonemer, and Renee (Joseph) Neme, and uncle of Joey, Angelina, Sophia, Isabella, Luke, and Lillianna. George was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Craig, Vincent, Mark, and Michael Bonemer.

George loved spending time with family and friends, watching sports, and watching his grandsons play baseball. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

George was a devout Catholic seeking mercy from Jesus Christ and regularly praying to God, and was a staunch believer in the importance of Catholic tradition and found peace, deep respect and reverence for the traditional Latin mass.
