Gerald "Gerry" Ronewicz passed away on September 18, 2026. He was a beloved husband to Rita and a dear father to Amanda (Guy) Cline, Tony, and Alaina (Dean) Dwyer. Gerry was a loving grandpa to Jameson, Brady, and Hazel. He was also a dear brother to Vince and the late Annie, Rocky, Tommy, Lucy, Lori, and Greg, and a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Gerry dedicated over 40 years to the City of Detroit, working in the water and assessor's offices and training many employees. He was an avid softball player and enjoyed the game until his mid-sixties. Gerry had a passion for singing; he often brought his guitar to family gatherings and loved performing at karaoke bars in his later years. A memorial visitation for Gerry will be held on Friday, September 25, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM. You may make memorial donations to a charity of your choice in Gerry's name.
