Gricelda (Grace) Dagmar Cutajar (nee Serrano), With the most heartfelt sympathy to all affected she has sadly left us after a short battle with the terrible scourge of Cancer that has destroyed so many lives. Born June 17,1968 In El Salvador, and immigrating to South West Detroit in 1973 with her family of seven, -all struggling as has been the history of so many immigrants into their new land.. Gricleda, attended school in Southwest Detroit, -Detroit public schools including Western High School and later Henry Ford College. She spent her young days walking great distances during real winters to school and then back home during a time when crime was rampant. As she moved into middle school, she was expected to cook, clean, and draw water for her parent’s baths before they came home from work. These traits of hardship and hard work followed her throughout her life with her un-yielding energy. After High school she had three children and took different jobs to help make ends meet eventually working for Chrysler (Now Stellantis) for 26 years hoping with her husband Michael to be able to take that train trip they had planned across the country after retirement until this tragedy ended that dream. Her abounding love of people and especially animals was beyond measure and herself, her sister and her husband always would rescue animals in distress. She most dearly loved all her family including her husband, mother, siblings, children and grandchildren-whom she would care for and mentor with abounding love and self-sacrifice. She brought beauty where-ever she went, especially with flowers where her home was always fragrant along with the God given beauty that abounds them. She found solace and joy in God’s abounding love and was instrumental in helping many especially her husband to help rekindle his lost soul in the Grace of God after his many years of turmoil. She was the light that he desperately was in need of for so many years and the fate of their meeting five years ago in a physician’s office turned out to be the profound awaited joy in his life. She is survived by her husband Michael, Son, Jessie (Ashley), Daughter’s, Jasmine (Johann) and Natalia (Nicholas). Grand Children, Madison, Lianna, Mia, Lilah, Nicholas, Alexandria as well as expected children on the way and in the future. She is also survived by her sisters, Mirna, Marta, Mira, brother Giovanni and other siblings in El Salvador, Aunt in law, in laws, Cousin’s in law, friends and neighbors, Her family also include Chico and Estrellita her dogs and Miss Beautiful and Bad Boy her cats, as well the hundred that she saved on the streets. So, so many are all heartbroken with her passing into Glory. Including those of her faith community at First Latin American Baptist Church in Detroit. With tearful eyes, she will be so greatly missed. Love always to our beautiful Mamacita. Until we meet your sweet love again..
