Harry Stanley Bobowski, beloved father, husband, brother, grandfather, uncle and retired self-employed wholesale milkman, one of "the udder guys", passed away peacefully at his retirement home at Oakmont in Sterling Heights on June 26, 2011. Born on the eastside of Detroit to Sophie and Stanley Bobowski on September 20,1921, Harry is survived by his beloved sisters, Alice Budz and Jessie Wilson, and their children and grandchildren. His brother Eddie and his wife Frances died in Boyne City recently; his sister Delores passed on some years ago. The Bobowski family has extended family throughout the world. Harry and his wife, Erma, would have celebrated 63 years of marriage this June 19th. It has been seven years since she passed; now Harry goes to join her. Since buying their house on Dolphin street, they raised their voices, raised 7 kids, celebrated lots of family holidays and worked hard full time delivering milk, nursing, managing kids and all that activity. His seven children celebrate his generous, kind, quiet spirit, his funny sense of humor, ability to be stubborn and work hard without drawing attention to himself. He is survived by Chris, Kathleen, Bob, Rick, Maryanne, Tom and Jerry and their spouses and children. There are ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren spread out all across the country, living fulfilling lives. We will all miss his smile, jokes, hugs and ways that uniquely were his own. Visitation will be held at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 W. Warren, Dearborn Heights, on Wed. from 2-8pm. In state Thursday at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 8679 Riverview, Dearborn Heights, until time of mass at 10 am, with a luncheon following the service at the Stitt American Legion Post No. 232, 23850 Military, Dearborn Heights.
