Henrietta “Hank” Victoria Klim, 92, of Dearborn, went to heaven Friday, March 15, peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She was born August 26, 1931, the beloved daughter of Valentine and Sophie Gralak. Growing up she was an avid pianist, going on to teach others to play. She married Karl Arthur Klim on May 22, 1954. They raised 4 children and shared 44 years of marriage. Hank was both a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader, an Alhambra member, and an honorary member of the Divine Child Men’s Club for over 50 years. She liked to color, embroider, scratch off lottery tickets, and shop the Home Shopping Network. She enjoyed cooking and baking and if you ever left her house hungry, that was on you. She took many trips to Las Vegas, where she enjoyed playing the slots, let it ride, and 3-card poker. She was passionate about her holiday decorating and spending time with family, including those she had “adopted” as a part of her own. Hank found great joy in being a Mom, Granny, and Great-Granny. She was very proud of her four children, six grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren, and would share stories about them to everyone she knew and met along the way. She was a loving and giving person that brought immense happiness to others and will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Henrietta will be lovingly remembered by her children, son Kurt (Teri) Klimkiewicz, and daughters Sharee (Dennis) Lesmeister and Lydia (Jim) VanderSchuur, grandchildren, Stacey (Russell) Morris, David (Lauren) Lesmeister, Jamie (Ben) Hoffman, Scot (Heather) VanderSchuur, Vicki (Nick) Ward, and Ashleigh Klimkiewicz, and great-grandchildren, Harrison and Grayson Morris, Oliver and Noah Lesmeister, Lucas, Elsie, and Mason Hoffman, and Conner, Judson and Hunter Ward. We know that Henrietta is now with her husband, Karl, her son, Kent, and her great-grandson, Dylan, and is loved here on earth, as well as in heaven.
