James Jackwak

James Jackwak, passed away on May 29, 2023, in Garden City, Michigan. Born on December 5, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan. James was the beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of Jimmy (Lori) and the late Renee. Dearest Stepfather to Steve (Stacy) Minar. Loving brother of Bernard (Harriet) and the late Marion (Bill) Marzion. For over 30 years, James proudly served as a conductor on the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad, now known as CSX. His passion for railroads, aviation, and World War II was well-known to all who knew him. He could often be found engaging in lively conversations on these topics, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. James's dedication to his profession and his love for the railroad industry earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Visitation on Sunday from 1-8 pm with Rosary at 7 pm at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, located at 25509 W. Warren in Dearborn Heights. Instate Monday at 10 am until the time of the Mass at 10:30 am at St. Linus Church. Memorial donations suggested to Salesian Missions.
