On Sunday, April 14, 2024, James Edward Navyac, of Dearborn Heights passed away, he was eighty-two. Born on December 16, 1941, to Stella and Joseph Navyac, in Detroit, Jim graduated from Western High School where he succeeded in his swimming career. Soon after, he started his career at Ford Motor Company where he retired after 35 years. Later, he served as a sergeant for the Dearborn Heights Auxiliary Police. Jim is preceded in life by his wife Karen, his parents Joseph and Stella, and his two brothers, Larry (Sandy), and Stan (Janice). He is survived by his third brother, Joe (Pat). He was a beloved father to Susan (Paul), and Lisa (Jason). Grandfather to Jacob (Noel), Carly (Moe), Josh (Jordan), Hayley, Roger (Michaela), Paul (Lia), and Ashley. Great Grandfather to Alex, Mason, and Ella. Great Grandpaw to his best buddy Huey. Jim was an avid outdoorsman. He loved any type of fishing and made his own lures, spent countless hours on the Detroit River, and was a member of the Downriver Walleye Federation. He enjoyed hunting in the off-season - including duck, pheasant, and turkey. He was a proud supporter of Detroit Sports and was known for his sweet tooth — often nicknamed JFJ, Junk Food Jimmy by his family. Everyone who knew him loved him, as they could count on him as a buddy and someone to make them laugh. Jim will be remembered for his kind spirit and love of his family. FISH ON JIMBO!
