Jeffrey G. Bretzlaff

BRETZLAFF, JEFFREY G. January 3, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Sherry Van Mull and son of the late George and Regina Bretzlaff (Grinius). Jeff was an avid race car fan and one time driver and race car owner, winning rookie of the year at Flatrock Speedway in the early 1960s. Jeff loved classic cars and could usually always be found in his spare time working on cars in his garage or driveway. Jeff was a Teamster Truck driver for more than 40 years delivering road materials and spent many of those years at the Best Asphalt Company. Jeff also served in the USMC between 1962 -1968 in the Marine Aircraft Group 46 (MAC46) as a Fire Rescue Technician. Jeff was always proud but modest about his service in the United States Marine Corp. Jeff will be greatly missed by his extended family, beloved neighbors and friends whom he was always kind and faithful to in the tradition of the USMC and its Moto: "Semper Fidelis" meaning: Always Faithful. Visitation Saturday 11:00 am-1:00 PM at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 West Warren, Dearborn Heights. Funeral Saturday 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment at St Hedwig Cemetery.
