Addison, Joyce Loretta, 91, entered into eternal rest January 15, 2023 surrounded by many loved ones. Born November 26, 1931 in Detroit, MI to the late Antoinette Wiacek and Robert Gilbert. She spent most of her life as the faithful loving wife of Floyd E. Addison for 64 years until his passing in 2014. Their love story was one we should all inspire to have. Loving mother of 5 children, Floyd Jr (Dorothy), Michael (Tina), Nora (Rick) Sandecki, Toni Barbara (Bill) Mullan and Joseph (Deb). She was the wonderful grandmother, aka Busia to 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. The last great grandchild born was Willow Grace, July 2022 whom brought so much happiness and joy in her last months. Joyce also had one sister, the late Barbara Daoust whom she cherished and loved deeply. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Joyce spent many years as a devoted homemaker, raising her family. She worked a few years at Norwalk Trucking Company where her secretarial skills and attention to detail were superior and extraordinary like her. Later on, she worked and retired from Ford Motor Company food service department. She participated and was active with St. Vincent DePaul, Meals on Wheels, Christian Mothers, Religious Education and Girl Scouts. She valued each relationship with such passion that just being in her presence brought you peace and comfort. Mrs “A”, Addison treasured her family, friends, neighbors, coworkers and strangers as the Lord has taught us – “Love one another as I have loved you”. All will sadly miss her words of love, wisdom, kindness, compassion and understanding. The family will receive visitors at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home 25509 W.
