Kristin "Kristy" Marie Krizmanich-Conniff, M.D.

March 6, 1981 — June 14, 2020

Kristin Marie Krizmanich-Conniff M.D. This is a moment when life’s plan just feels wrong. Where the hours, minutes and seconds should be rewound. Where the sun shouldn’t be able to set with a husband holding his wife’s hand, saying goodbye to a life so precious and wonderful. However, if you know “our Kristy,” you know she was a planner, and had a different path in mind. Her plan means living on through her three children, husband, parents, family and friends. She will continue to touch these lives each day. The tragic accident that ended her life will serve as a beautiful beginning. Her constant presence will surround each of us to talk to, laugh with, create funny dance moves with and cherish every moment together. Kristin “Kristy” Marie Krizmanich-Conniff M.D., 39, passed away on June 14, 2020. She was surrounded by loved ones. Kristy was adored by her husband, Tony, and cherished by her children, Ryder (11), Chloe (10), and Scarlett (8). She will always be the beloved daughter of Thomas and Diane Krizmanich, dearest sister of Tommy (Tonya) Krizmanich, loving aunt of Abigail Krizmanich, Benjamin Krizmanich, Declan Krizmanich, Collin Goslin, Trevor Goslin, Bridgette Conniff, and Michael Conniff III, dearest daughter-in-law of Michael and Diane Conniff and sister-in-law of Michael (Lisa) Conniff Jr. and Kellie (Timothy) Goslin. Kristy is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. In her youth, Kristy was a dancer, swimmer and cheerleader. She was blessed with a photographic memory that when combined with her compassion, made her unstoppable in academics and social groups. She graduated as Valedictorian from Edsel Ford High School. She thrived in undergraduate school at the University of Michigan and went on to receive a full ride scholarship to Wayne State Medical School. Kristy was a combination of strength and style in her whitecoat as she arrived back at University of Michigan for her radiology residency. It was her “Michigan Family” who cared for her in her final hours and honored her life in the most touching ways. As a lifeguard in her early years and then as a doctor, this adored healer was always saving lives. Even as she took her last breath, her body went on to save even more lives. Kristy and Tony married on August 4, 2006. The love they have for one another is truly indescribable. You can hear Kristy laughing…saying, “Oh Tony,” as their hilarious enjoyment of life enveloped their family and friends. Their family began with the birth of their son, Ryder almost 12 years ago. He displays Kristy’s determination, intelligence, and innate mindfulness of the world. Then beautiful Chloe arrived displaying her mother’s kindness and compassion. Scarlett was the youngest, but the fiercest, and channels Kristy’s fun spirit and energy for life. Her children were the foundation of everything Kristy did and loved. She was the most graceful, fun and organized mother on Earth. Yet, she was realistic, witty and certainly never let her children beat her in any match or board game. She taught them empathy for others, love for themselves and tenacity to go after anything in this world. Kristy illuminated an amazing path for her children and will continue to guide them every step of the way. It has been said, those we love never truly leave us and there are things that death cannot touch. Let Kristy’s beauty, love of life and laughter surround each of you. Let her children and husband feel her heart every moment of their lives. She would want all of us to remember her through the pictures she shared and the fun moments we had. Kristy’s family would like to thank the many friends who embraced them during this difficult time. It has been a true testament to the love that Kristy poured into all her relationships.
