Lawrence "Larry" Lukas Kopchia

KOPCHIA, LAWRENCE LUKAS “LARRY” November 25, 1933-June 12, 2013. Beloved husband of Delphine. Dear father of Karen (the late Timothy) Hill, Lawrence J. (Trina), David, Joseph, and James (Anna). Loving grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Dear brother of Dorothy (Larry) Salagan and also preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. Family will receive friends Thursday from 12 pm until time of Service at 5 pm at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 W. Warren, Dearborn Heights. Larry was a graduate of Chadsey High School, Played professional baseball from 1953-1958 until he was drafted into the Army, was a member of the Little Caesars 1970 national championship team, inducted into the Dearborn Sports Hall of Fame in 1992, was also a member of the Dearborn Police and Fire Departments.
