Lillian Mary Husereau

Lillian Mary Husereau passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on September 20, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to John and Mary (nee Gorczyca) Szalony.

Lillian was the beloved wife of the late Michael Husereau, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage. She was the dearest sister of John (Marilyn) Szalony, Joseph (Ann) Szalony, and Patricia (Ziggy) Jonca. She was a cherished aunt to Ronald (Debbie), Timothy (Sheila), Jeffrey (Priscella), Daniel (Karrie), the late Jacqueline, Jennifer (Larry), Jill (Rodney), Brian (Kristie), Kevin (Tracy), the late Jason (Lori), and Jody (fiancé Jes), and a loving great-aunt to many great-nieces and great-nephews. She will also be deeply missed by many cousins and dear friends.

A devout Catholic, Lillian's faith was an important part of her life. For more than 40 years, she shared her love of music and faith by singing in the choir at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in Detroit. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of Isabella.

Lillian dedicated 40 years of her professional life to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Outside of work, she was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed displaying her treasured collection of deer. 

Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with the Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m., at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 West Warren, Dearborn Heights.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Mass intentions be offered in Lillian's memory.
