Louis Joseph Nagy III, 81, lifelong resident of Dearborn and Livonia passed away peacefully on October 27, 2021, surrounded by his family. Lou is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley, his children Robert (Vickie) Nagy, Cynthia (Mark) Perrine, Christina Nagy Lillis, Lisa (John) Ninkovich, Carrie (Robert) Vacca,and Frank (Tamara) Costa. He was deeply loved by all ten of his grandchildren, Robert (Amber) Perrine, Danielle (Nagy), Ashley (Lillis), Alyssa, Michael, and Cara (Ninkovich) Joey and Juliana (Vacca), Jack and Madeline (Costa) and his brother, David (Velaine) Nagy. He was also deeply loved by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Marilyn (Joe) Urso, Cynthia (Jim) Puzzuoli, Jess Ventro, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis, and Beulah Nagy. Lou’s most important accomplishment was his deep devotion to his family. His legacy included serving the Dearborn community for over 60 years. His career started with the Dearborn Police Department in various capacities; patrol officer, youth officer, mayoral bodyguard and earning the rank of sergeant prior to retirement. After retirement, he continued to serve in a law enforcement position for a Fortune 500 company, and up to his passing, Lou worked as an Ordinance Officer for the Property Maintenance & Development Services Department for the City of Dearborn and an employee of St. Alphonsus-St. Clement Catholic Church. He took great pride in hard work, his undying loyalty and well-respected by everyone. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 West Warren Ave., Dearborn Heights, 48127 from 1-8 pm with a Rosary at 6 pm. The Funeral will take place, at St. Alphonsus-St. Clement Church, 7469 Calhoun Dearborn, 48126 on Thursday, November 4th, instate at 10:30 AM, Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
