January 21, 1930 – March 30, 2025

Lucy Ann Pomorski, born on January 21, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, to Joseph and Bernice Mankowski, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in Canton, Michigan, with her family by her side.

Beloved wife of the late Henry Pomorski, Lucy was the devoted mother of Henry (Judy), Rick (Diane), and Steve (Kim). She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Ashley (Ryan) Reynolds, Joseph (Nicole) Pomorski, Jonathon (Katelynn) Pomorski, Eric (Crystal) Wueste, Christine Wueste, and Stephen Fairchild. Lucy was also blessed with the love of her great-grandchildren: Jace Reynolds, Lillyan Reynolds, Aubree Reynolds, Jacob Wueste, and Blaise Pomorski.

Lucy held a special place in her heart for her Texas relatives, with whom she shared countless memories over the years. She also treasured the lifelong friendships she made while traveling, including her connections with friends in Germany.

Lucy was very active at St. Alphonsus School and Parish. Despite having three boys, she became a dedicated Girl Scout leader. She also served as a playground monitor and was a committed volunteer at the parish’s Spring Festival. Lucy graduated from Chadsey High School in 1947 after attending St. Cunegunda for grade school. She worked several jobs before becoming a full-time mother and later found her place at Tiger Stadium, where she worked at the concession stands behind third base for 25 years. She loved being part of the game-day experience and was always thrilled to meet local celebrities, including the late newscaster Bill Bonds. She cherished the friendships she made with colleagues and patrons alike.

Lucy will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories that will be carried on by all who knew and loved her.
