Maria Cummings Nov 22, 1963 – Nov 27, 2022 Maria was a sweet, compassionate, and loving soul who loved her family to the ends of the earth. She spent her entire working career in the nursing field devoted to her patients. She always went above and beyond in everything that she did. She /would go out of her way each week to buy travel sized toiletries for her female and male patients, so they had better quality stuff to use. She loved music, laughing, and spending time with family. She would take in anyone who was struggling or take care of any child that needed a little extra love. She was such a fun and lively person to be around, always taking us kids everywhere and anywhere. Her sense of humor and bright spirit shined a light into any room she was in. She was devoted to her catholic faith and made sure she prayed every night. She was a tiny little thing at only 4 ’11 but don’t let that fool you, she was a feisty broad with a big heart. The nurses actually joked that when she woke from her surgery, she was like a cat flinging onto the ceiling. She was a survivor through and through and never let anything keep her down for long. I can’t even begin to put into words how much she meant everyone. No amount of words could properly do her justice or even partially touch on how much of an amazing woman she truly was. Maria was a force to be reckoned with, that’s for sure. She blessed this earth with her presence for 59 beautiful years but now it’s time for her to sit down and rest.
