Obituary

Michael Anthony Konczak, 78 of Dearborn Michigan passed away peacefully at his childhood home on September 30, 2026.

Michael was born on July 5th to Leona and Michael Konczak. He attended Divine Child Elementary and graduated from Salesian High School. He served as a chaplain in the Army and graduated from Eastern University with his Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Micheal got a job at Ford Motor Company where he retired after 33 years.

He loved staying active and played softball and racquetball, with tennis being his true love. Along with sports he loved walking his dog Kellie and riding his bike around town. His other favorite hobby was his music. Michael had countless CD’s and zip drives containing thousands of songs from different artists. He had the knowledge to back up this hobby as well. He could tell you song titles, artists and what number the song was on the charts. He could also tell you all of the other singers who covered the song. It was very impressive.

His true love was his family. His beautiful wife Pamela of almost 52 years was the love of his life. They were a true example of what marriage should be. He had two children who he was so proud of. His son Jeff received his masters in social work and lives with his wife Aiyana, who Michael adored. His daughter Anne is a registered nurse. She lives with her husband Brian and three children. Michael loved his grandchildren and they worshiped him as well. He was always a child at heart and his grandkids enabled him to be a kid again.

Michael also had a strong faith in God and valued his catholic faith. He regularly attended mass at Divine Child as well as stations of the cross during Lent. Even as his Parkinsons advanced he watched mass and said his prayers daily.

Michael is survived by his wife Pamela, Children Jeffrey (Aiyana), Anne (Brian), and grandchildren Brenden, Teagan, and Erin. He was preceded in death by his parents Leona and Michael, his brother Joseph, and grandson Carson.
