Miroslawa Marek

Miroslawa Teresa Marek was born in Jutrosin, Poland on June 28, 1930. Her parents were Stanislaw & Marianna Musielski. Miroslawa Teresa Marek also had two brothers Zygmunt Musielski who died at 9 months and Czeslaw Musielski who died at the age of 18 in The Polish-Jewish Concentration Camp. Miroslawa Teresa Marek married Szczepan Marek in Poland on June 23, 1952. They moved to America to settle in the Detroit area where her husband was a butcher and she worked as a janitor. Szczepan Marek passed away in December 23, 1999. Many friends and family have passed away as Miroslawa Teresa Marek lived to be 90 years old. Miroslawa Teresa Marek was very proud to be a United States Citizen. Although she did not have any children or surviving family in the United States her friends became her family as they helped when they could and cared for her well-being. Miroslawa Teresa Marek loved all the neighborhood cats and loved to feed the birds. She loved the outdoors and her Beautiful Garden and she walked everywhere her entire life as she never learned to drive. Miroslawa also loved to cook and sew even at the age of 90. She also had an amazing sense of humor as she often found comfort in laughter. Miroslawa Teresa Marek was always packing with the dream of returning to her homeland in Poland However, this dream will be fulfilled by returning her cremated ashes to Poland where she will be laid to rest with her parents in the family tomb by Catherine Dzikowski.
