Noel F. Dehne

September 28, 1957 — October 29, 2021

Noel F. Dehne Age 64, longtime resident of Novi, passed away October 29th, 2021. He was born in Dearborn, Michigan; son of Clarence and Carol Dehne and Virginia and Don Erkfitz. He was married to his best friend Beverly for 42 loving years. Noel graduated from West Bloomfield High School; Class of 1975. Following high school, he attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. While there, he was a Resident Advisor at Mosher-Jordan, where he met and chased after the love of his life, Beverly. Following graduation from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1979, he took a position with Jervis B. Webb Company, later Daifuku America Corporation, where he worked for 41 years. Building furniture, perfecting grilled ribs and goofy dancing were just some of Noel’s many talents. He loved playing many sports, especially basketball, golf, and tennis. He was an avid golfer, and though many enjoyed a round with him, he holds the record for most rounds played with his spouse at Meadowbrook Country Club. He was a big sports fan with a love of U of M and all Detroit teams, but was an even bigger fan of watching his grandchildren with their various sports and activities. Whether travelling the world or sitting by the pool, Noel chose spending time with his favorite people over anything else. Noel is survived by his loving wife, Bev Dehne; his children, Lindsay (Rafe) Petty, Kyle (Jamie) Dehne, Lance (Taylor Maas) Dehne, and Chase (Annie) Dehne; his siblings, Kim Dehne, Troy Dehne, Leslie McBride, Kevin Dehne, Shari Hartley, Brian Hartley, and Joy Erkfitz; and his grandchildren Simon, Nora, Claire, William, and Aidan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia, and his step-father, Don Erkfitz. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 12th, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Meadowbrook Country Club, 40941 Eight Mile Rd., Northville. Light fare and refreshments will be served ongoing and eulogies will be read at 5:00pm.* In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Midnight Golf Program. *A note about current COVID protocols: The CDC recommends that all unvaccinated individuals wear a mask indoors. We ask that people attending the celebration make responsible choices in order to protect the safety and wellbeing of all that are grieving. Masking, rapid testing, and staying home if feeling ill are some of the ways we can ensure we can still be together in light of the pandemic. Thank you for your understanding regarding this matter.
