August 19, 1934 – February 21, 2026
Patricia Ann Doody, born August 19, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, to George and Ann McColl, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Patricia shared 71 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Rick. She was a vibrant and social woman who truly enjoyed life—especially music, dining out, trips to the casino, and time spent with family and friends. She loved to knit and gave away hundreds of her famous washcloths as well as numerous afghans for all the babies born in and outside the family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Patricia found her greatest joy in her family. She especially loved treating her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to Christmas celebrations—both in December and her cherished “Christmas in July.”
Patricia was a huge Carrie Underwood fan and loved to travel, including memorable trips to Aruba, Alaska and special camper adventures across the entire country with her husband. She spent 30 years living in Lovells, Michigan, where she embraced the quiet beauty of the North. Later, she enjoyed returning to Dearborn, where she was grateful to be close to family once again.
A devoted Catholic, Patricia was known for her warm spirit and love of church and community. She loved going to breakfast after Sunday mass with all of their church friends. She enjoyed playing euchre and trying her luck at the slots—often sharing her winnings with her grandchildren. She was also an excellent whistler, able to get everyone’s attention in an instant. Patricia was deeply appreciative of her caring sons-in-law and daughter-in-law, who supported her in countless ways throughout the years.
Patricia was the beloved wife of Rick. Loving mother of Karen (John) O’Callaghan, Kathy (Larry) Callahan, Mary (Steve) Lobkovich, and Rick (Nancy) Doody. Cherished grandmother of Megan (Keith) Dye, Kevin (Stephanie) O’Callaghan, Katie (Tom) Lanfear, Jessie (Mike) Matt, Neal (Melissa) Callahan, Keith (Danielle) Callahan, Sean (Rachel) Callahan, Sarah (Mike) Sulkowski, Emily (Adám) Izer, Brian (Alison) Lobkovich, and Jaclyn (Chris) Doody. Adored great-grandmother of Maisie, Garrett, Connor, John, Keira, Ryan, Jack, Avery, Drew, David, Declan, Cade, Gabriella, Lincoln, Jaxson, Kennedy, Isla, Cameron, and Abby. Dear sister of Carol (the late Bud) Zemnickas, David McColl, the late Larry (Billie) McColl, and the late Kathy (the late Marco) Deon.
Visitation will take place Thursday, February 26, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 W. Warren, Dearborn Heights.
