Paul A. Koda

KODA, PAUL A., June 12, 2021. Beloved son of the late Philip and Margaret “Peg” Koda. Dearest brother of Philip (Candice), Theresa (Ross) Carey, Kathleen (Daniel) Ruzycki, Judi (Jeff) Burgio, Peter (Sheila), Patrick (Bridget), Joseph, and Mary. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Paul was a big supporter of Eastern Market where he was affectionately known as “Big Brown”. He was a very charitable person and donated many items to Sister Judie’s Outreach and St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen. These organizations provided comfort to the less fortunate in Detroit. Paul spent many hours maximizing his donations by working with local markets and purchasing food at a discount then delivering it quickly so it could be served before it expired. Memorial Visitation Friday, July 16, 10:30-11:00 am at St. Alphonsus-St. Clement Parish, until the time of Memorial Mass at 11;00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen and Sister Judie’s Outreach.
