Peggy Sophia
Zastrow
July 7, 1947 – February 26, 2026
Peggy was the beloved wife of Charles Zastrow and the proud, devoted mother of Nicholas Zastrow (Rouba) and Erin Gregory. She was a loving and joyful Nana to Jude Biggs and Binyameen Zastrow, and a treasured Great-Nana to August. Peggy was the dear sister of Stanley (Sharon) Kley, Jacqueline Day (the late Russell Day), and the late Louis Kley.
Family was the center of Peggy’s world. Her love extended beyond her immediate household to her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and she often fondly recalled the laughter and stories they shared through the years. She cherished the many vacations shared together, especially their magical trips to Walt Disney World. Disney’s Beach Club Resort held a special place in her heart, where laughter filled the days and lifelong memories were made.
She also found peace and happiness in Ponte Vedra, Florida, a place she loved to visit, relax, and soak in the warmth and beauty of the ocean.
Peggy was a woman of determination and heart. In her 40s, she courageously returned to school to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a registered nurse — a calling that perfectly reflected her nurturing spirit and desire to care for others. Her dedication and hard work led her to a career she was deeply proud of.
Above all, Peggy was a deeply devout Catholic whose faith guided her every day. She lived her beliefs through quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering love for her family.
