Richard Simon Zielinski

ZIELINSKI, RICHARD S. August 29, 2021 Beloved husband of Wanda. Dear father of Catherine (Ronald) Hanes, Christine (Keith) Lomason, Diane (Gordon) Meisel, David (Virginia), and Anne Marie Willinger. Loving Dziadzia of Matthew Meisel, Victoria Zielinski, William Lomason, Natalie Zielinski, Evelyn Zielinski, Adam Willinger, Justin Willinger, the late Richard Hanes, and the late Andrew Meisel. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and loved spending all the time he could with them. Richard was the last survivor out of 10 Zielinski siblings. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his duty, he joined the Dearborn Heights Police Department and served for 20 years before his retirement as a detective lieutenant. Richard loved spending time fishing, especially with his family. Visitation Wednesday 2-8 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 W. Warren, Dearborn Heights. Instate Thursday 10:00 am at St. Linus Church until the time of Mass at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
