Robert Wilson Aubertin (September 27, 1935 - September 12, 2021) lived a good and full life, but still left us too soon. He was the loving husband to Florence (Fraser); proud father to Lawrence (deceased), Laura (Jaycee Gilbert), James, and Robert A.; doting grandfather to Brian TerKeurst, Bradley TerKeurst, Charity Gilbert, Shakina Gilbert, Chelsea Aubertin, and Kendal Aubertin; and caring great-grandfather. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great friends. Bob was born and raised just outside of Lansing, Michigan, and made Dearborn, Michigan his home for most of his life where he worked his way up to President for an automotive supplier. He was a Korean War veteran, Mason, Shriner, Jester, and a proud Spartan. He learned to play instruments from his mother and played in the marching band for the Shriners and volunteered at many events. His piano playing was a hit at every infamous Aubertin party and Florence loved to dance while he played. Bob’s intelligence was only outmatched by his kindness. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. If you wish to make a donation in Bob’s honor, he and the family have chosen, Tunnels to Towers (t2t.org), an organization that supports 9/11 survivors, victims’ families, and first responders and their families. Visitation Friday 2-8 pm at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 W. Warren, Dearborn Heights. Funeral Service Friday 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
