Robert Edmund Szostak, affectionately known as Bob or Brillo, passed away on February 11, 2025, in Garden City, MI. He was born on July 2, 1947, in Detroit, MI, to Edmund and Theodora (née Leibiada) Szostak.

Bob was the cherished father of Lauren (Shawn O’Donnell), Larissa, and Spencer (Lindsay Munoz) and the adored Papa of Zoey. He was the dear brother of Mary-Ann Wojcik and the former husband of Leigh.

A proud Marine and Vietnam veteran, Bob dedicated his life to service and camaraderie. He was an active member and bar manager at Sgt. Stanley Romanowski VFW Post 6896 in Dearborn, MI.

Bob loved golf, especially his trips up north with his buddies. His Polish heritage led him to bowling, where he achieved multiple perfect 300 games. He also enjoyed playing Keno with a Bacardi and Coke in hand.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 W. Warren, Dearborn Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project .
