Rose Augusta VanMeerbeeck Novi - After 90 years and a life well-lived, Rose’s work here on Earth is done. On March 7, 2017 she received her invitation to the reunion of a lifetime; joining her husband, Victor, son, Cary, sister, Barbara Wagner, and other beloved family members and friends she has not seen in a long time. She will be in a wonderful place dancing, socializing, sewing, knitting, and doing crossword puzzles to her heart’s content, surrounded by endless laughter, love, light, and Elvis Presley music. Born and raised in Detroit, Rose made the best of what life had to offer. As a young girl, she loved her summers at Cass Lake. It was here that she met the love of her life, Victor. They married on September 2, 1950, and enjoyed over 45 years together. They made their home and raised their family in Dearborn Heights. Rose was an ardent supporter of the family she leaves behind: sons Victor (Lynn), Kim (Lois), daughter Elizabeth (Kent), and son Kirk (Lisa), grandchildren: Victor (Amy), Shannon (Joel), Kristin (Chad), Erik (Katie), Lindsey (Jacob), Anna, Justin, Alyssa, Skylar; great-grandchildren: Ryan, Brayden, Gabriel, Logan, Cole, Madison, and Jacob. They are under her instruction to carry on - living life to its fullest, never accepting defeat, and being loyal and proud Americans, thus honoring her life. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 West Warren, Dearborn Heights, MI.
