On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, our beloved Sophie Theresa Stasko was called home by Our Lord and Savior, at the age of 98. She was many things – an daughter of Polish immigrants, wife, mother, aunt, friend, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, social butterfly; the list goes on. She had an immense love for dogs and cats, playing card games, and was strong in her Catholic faith. But, most notably, she was a kind soul with a lot of spunk. While she is welcomed into the next life by Our Heavenly Father, her loving husband Stanley Walter Stasko, and those before her, she leaves her legacy through her children David (Vilma) Stasko, Marie Ann (James) Martin, Stanley Robert Stasko, and Geraldine (Mark) Harrison, and her grandchildren Jeffrey (Katherine) Stasko, Matthew Neusel, Sarah Jessica Stasko, Kelly Zonca, Christopher (Krystle) Martin, David Stasko Jr., Raquel Zonca, and Olivia Harrison. Her great-grandchildren Harper Edward Stasko, Coleton James, and Adelynne Rose Martin are her newest and beloved legacy-bearers. She was also a dear sister to Robert (Cecilia) Kaluzny Sr., the late Mary (the late John) Jakubiec, John (the late Marian) Kaluzny, Josephine (the late William) Furr and Lottie (the late Leonard) Zagornik. Visitation Monday 2-8 pm with a Scripture Service at 7:00 pm at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 West Warren, Dearborn Heights. Instate Tuesday 10:00 am at St. Linus Church until time of Mass at 10:30 am.
