Stanley Karas

Stanley Karas died March 1, 2024 peacefully at Angela Hospice in Livonia, MI. Stanley was born in Detroit, MI June 1, 1935. He was a devoted husband to Carol Ann Karas (Pastuschyn), loving father to Stephen (Carol Marie) Karas and Paul (Karen, dec.) Karas. Preceded in death by Father and mother Joseph and Karolina Karas, brothers and sisters Tony, Ben, Stella Kaczor, Mary, Andrew, Joseph and Walter. Brother-in-law to Beverly Antonow, Diane Berkebile and William Pastuschyn. Stanley and Carol married 57+ years, May 7, 1966 Stanley proudly worked at Ford Motor Company for 39 ½ years the bulk of his career in Body Engineering retiring in 1995 and enjoying all 29 years of his retirement spending his time with his family, reading the newspaper cover to cover daily and walking all of his grand dogs. In addition to his tenure at Ford Motor Company he spent time as a REALTOR with Cudillo Realty in Dearborn, MI. Stanley’s greatest passion outside of his faith and family was bowling in which he excelled at greatly. In his early years he bowled competitively and successfully. Stanley was a gentle man who delighted in his immediate and extended family as much as possible. He was always interested in and proud of the accomplishments of his dozens and dozens of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews often attending sporting events, competitions and various activities. Visitation will be at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home in Dearborn Heights, MI on Wednesday March 6th from 4-8pm with a rosary at 7 pm. Mass of Celebration will be at The Church of the Divine Child in Dearborn MI Thursday March 7th at 10:00am, visitation to begin at 9:30am at Church.
