Stanley Anthony Wilk, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and a pillar of strength to all who knew him, peacefully passed away on November 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 11, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, Staś was the son of the late Franciszek and Mary Wilk (née Grzegorek). Staś faced life's challenges with unwavering determination, fighting with everything he had, and through it all, his family remained steadfast at his side. He was a beacon of strength and a great dad to all, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. A man of many passions, Staś found immense joy in coaching baseball, creating lasting memories on the diamond. He was equally at home in the great outdoors, reveling in the camaraderie of camping trips and enjoying the friendly competition of bowling and golf. Staś was a true master of the handyman trade, a skill he honed throughout his life, eventually leading him to start his own successful handyman business. Staś was a beloved husband to Barbara. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. His legacy lives on through his loving children: Antonina (Vince) Sobieski, Theresa (Kevin) Ouellette, Stanley (Ashley), Mark (Elvira), and his precious grandchildren: Zoie, Gus, Jurek, Noah, Liilia, and Myles. He is also a dear brother of Helen Wajda and the late Marion (Renata). Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-8 pm at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home, 25509 W. Warren, with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7 pm. On Saturday, there will be an instate period starting at 9:00 am until the time of the Mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 6442 Pelham Road, Taylor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association in honor of Stanley "Staś" Anthony Wilk. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit and the impact he made on the lives of others will live on in the cherished memories they hold dear.
