Virginia A. Macek

March 9, 1925 – May 6, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Virginia Macek who peacefully went to be with our Lord on May 6, 2025, at age 100.  Virginia was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, and great great aunt.  She worked as an office worker for General Motors where she was proudly retired from.  In her retirement she watched her great nieces and would make rosaries for the prisoners.   She loved to read, garden, bake, and lived her life helping others.

Virginia was born on March 9, 1925, to Josephine and Lawrence Macek.  She was preceded in death by her siblings Leo, Edward, Lottie, Anna, Mary and Sophie.  She will be deeply missed by all her nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 9th at Church of the Divine Child in Dearborn, Michigan.  In-State 9:30am – 10:00am with mass to follow at 10:00am.  She will be laid to rest at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Virginia’s name to Angela Hospice or the Michigan Humane Society .
