SZELAG, WALTER R. November 20, 2015. Beloved son of Helen and the late Walter. Dear brother of Henry (Carla), Martin (Cyndy), and Jimmy (Shawn). Loving uncle to Fred, Ben, Lee Ann, Christina, Adam, Jimmy Jr., and Raleigh. Walter was currently Captain of the Detroit Fireboat 1. He has also worked on the Detroit Princess, lake and ocean freighters and the Boblo Boats. Memorial Service Saturday, December 5, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 7685 Grandville Ave., Detroit, at 11:00 am with Memorial Visitation beginning at 10:30 am.
