William J. Craft

William James Craft passed away suddenly and peacefully in his sleep on Monday February 01, 2016. William was born on April 27, 1962 in Jacksonville North Carolina (Camp Lejeune) and was 53 years old at the time of his "home coming". William was the youngest of three sons born to Patricia Ann (Bartels) Craft and Carl Edward Craft. William and his two brothers (a.k.a. Eddie, Bobby and Billy) grew up in Southwest Detroit... lovingly cared for and raised by his mother: Patricia Craft and grandmother: Helen Bartels. William is survived by his brother: Bob Craft; aunt: Christine (Chrissy) Barker; cousins: Helen Kirk (& family) and Denise Ballantyne (& family). William was affectionately known as Bill, Billy, BillyBob and brother Bill by those that knew and loved him. Bill loved to cook and was good at it. Bill was a "gentleman" in the true sense of the word - he was a civilized, educated, sensitive and well-mannered man. Bill was friendly and welcoming and met everyone with a smile. Bill had worked at Wayne State University for the past 35 years and made many friends along the way. Bill mainly worked in the Computing / Telecommunications area - lastly as a Senior Network Engineer. Bill, Billy, brother Bill will be dearly and sincerely missed by all that knew him...
