WEDLAKE, WILLIAM. AGE 71. Born in Ovid, MI to Fay and Mary (nee Wedlake) Wilson. Adopted by his uncle William John, Sr. and Winifred Wedlake after his mother passed away from childbirth complications. Beloved brother of Michael (Violet “Vickie”) Wedlake, from Columbus, OH, James (Joan) Wilson from Springfield, MO, David (Carol) Wilson from Aurora, IL, and the late John Wedlake. Loving uncle of Michael (Kandy), Kaydee, Patrick, Philip, David, Christopher, Todd, Cheryl, Susan, Judith, Diana, and Lynne. Also survived by many great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces. Graduated in 1962 with a teaching degree from Wayne State. Taught math and science at Miller Jr. High for over 35 years. Also, started the Science and Fishing Club at the school. Loyal member of Littlefield Presbyterian Church and volunteer at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Fisher Theater. William loved fishing, golfing, singing and was an avid reader. Enjoyed nature, traveling, and sharing his life experiences with the young people in his life. He loved his family, friends, neighbors, and Midnight, his loving cat. We will miss him. Memorial service is Saturday June 18th at 11am at the Littlefield Presbyterian Church, 7560 Littlefield Blvd., Dearborn, MI. Family suggests memorial donations be made to National Psoriasis Foundation or Littlefield Presbyterian Church.
