John Fitzgerald MacIsaac, 60, passed away on February 3, 2025, in Canton, MI after a four year battle with cancer. Born on November 20, 1964, John grew up in Dearborn, MI and graduated from St. Alphonsus High School in 1983.
John devoted many years of service to Northwest and Delta Air Lines working in many different cities around the United States with his last 28 years being in Honolulu, Hawaii where he made many dear friends. He loved to travel, enjoyed playing cards, and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the Nova Scotia Club of Detroit. John also cherished his Cape Breton roots, spending many summer vacations there, enjoying the square dances, back road trips and just dropping in for a visit to see his many relatives and friends.
He will be remembered as a beloved brother, uncle and friend whose generosity and spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
John is survived by his sisters, Beverly (Dave Bertani), Denise (Jim Lessnau), Valerie (Joe Grutza); nieces Siobhan, Aileen (Spencer), Rory, Valerie; nephews Duncan (Felix), Tony; and grandnephew Eoin, and grandniece Mairi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Bell MacIsaac, and his sister, Cathy MacIsaac.
Funeral mass will be held at St Alphonsus/St Clement Church in Dearborn on Saturday February 15th at 10:30 am. Gathering at the church will begin at 10:00am.
A luncheon will take place following the Mass.
